Outside Sales Representative- Long Island/NYC Supplements

Product Line Description:

Established natural supplement broker needs a professional outside salesperson with an exceptional personality and closing skills to sell, service and expand our existing customer base of health food stores.

Sales reps should be courteous, pay close attention to detail, and maintain open lines of communication. They are the interface between the company and the customer, provide personalized service, and therefore are required to have strong knowledge of products and overall industry knowledge. Education and training on products will be provided.

Sales Representatives are responsible for the following:

- Handling customer inquiries of all types both by face-to-face and by phone.

- Providing sales staff and customers with product information and education.

- Introducing new products and selling existing products into accounts.

- Manage and grow accounts in assigned territory to deliver sales revenue quota

- Expand the company's product line in accounts

- Assist internal sales department with account follow-ups and issues

-Generate sales, obtain orders, provide education and training, and deliver functions/services to support goal obtainment

- Provide excellent customer service, meeting or exceeding company standards


- This role is in sales and therefore candidate must be capable of working in a high stress sales environment, must be capable of working effectively and efficiently to manage assigned territory and must possess the ability to multitask while effectively listening at the same time

- Position requires travel - daily to meet company requirements for goal obtainment and service of accounts in territory and when requested, attend trade shows. The position requires a “Road Warrior” so reliable transportation is required.

- Understand and utilize good sales skills, territory and time management, and basic analysis of results

- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with others including customers and companies

- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships

- Proficient with MS Word and Excel

- Minimum of a high school education with 3-5 years previous experience is required.

- Proven record of previous sales success in natural health food, supplements, vitamins or the like business

An excellent base pay is offered plus commission and bonuses. No Benefits. Independent Contractor position or Employee - can be discussed in the interview.
