Product Line Description:

We are a growing, venture-backed start-up company that seeks an energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented Field Sales Representative who will take us to the next level of new markets and distribution channels, while promoting our brand’s products, values and high standards well.

The Role:

You will manage the full sale cycle from product knowledge, prospecting, qualifying, presentation, closing, and maintenance. You will be responsible for driving new business revenue through retail sales channels, while maintaining our customer service standards.

You will proactively map out and targeting retail partnership opportunities within assigned territories, seeking new opportunities, opening new retail accounts, managing and optimizing reorders, establishing networks, and developing and managing relationships with specialized distributors.

You will become our company’s product expert and brand ambassador who will work to proactively align the product with high performance sports and athletes via gym and sports-related partnerships, events and collaborations. You will develop and manage a robust territory, as part of our target account-based sales model.

What you’ll do:

·       Serve as the primary face of the company to offline sales partners and take full responsibility for the success of these partnerships

·       Acquiring new accounts within assigned territory, facilitate placement of product, promotional selling and effective display of merchandise and placement location

·       Lead and implement strategy to increase sales by identifying goals, articulating vision, and executing tactics

·       Introduce products to new and potential customers with the goal of increasing overall sales at target locations

·       Set-up meetings, scheduled sampling tests, evaluates, conduct and manages off-site sampling events with measurable ROI

·       Participates in business expos, mixers and other networking events to cultivate sales relationships

·       Conduct Inventory counts and reconcile orders for customer accounts verifying accuracy, timeliness and accountability

·       Create and transmit orders for product orders and reorders with accurate paperwork and submitted in a timely manner, meeting order deadlines

·       Plan and carry out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations

·       Maintains sales volume by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors

·       Keeps leadership team informed of all developments in the region (i.e. competitors, advertising campaigns, new entrants in the market/category, etc.)

What You’ll bring:

·       3+ years of Business Development or sales experience, preferably in the food space

·       Demonstrated ability to develop new markets, territories and accounts, with experience managing complex sales cycles

·       Be able to maximize opportunities and manage partner relationships with retail partners and distributors, and optimize sell-through

·       Develop deep understanding of product benefits, brand differentiation and long-term goals, and display skills in interpreting customer feedback and requests and aim take a leadership role in finding strategic solutions

·       Work closely with management and retail partners (including distributors) to define, package, market and sell product

·       Work with our Team to continuously streamline and improve our system based on customer feedback related to flavors, marketing, messaging, in-store displays and others sales material, etc.

·       Document, report and help address issues or concerns relating to partners, collaborators, customers, and/or projects; providing, insight, feedback and recommend solutions

·       Goal and results driven, with the ability to overcome hurdles or find creative solutions

·       Solid business judgment, entrepreneurial, and tenacious mentality for achieving company goals in new ways and innovative narratives

·       Excellent communicator, able to build rapport and establish credibility

·       Research, organize, execute and be present at external events in sports/performance and food-focused conventions, tournaments, meet-ups and more.

·       Creativity and a passion for food and fitness/health/sports

·       Motivated and self-starting with a proven ability to work autonomously, taking the lead on projects while anticipating the needs of the team

·       Detail-oriented, self-directed skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including adaptability to fluid and last-minute changes

·       Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and insurance
