JOB SUMMARY:

The Metro Manager will lead business in the Independent Natural Channel in the Denver Metro area. The Metro Manager is responsible for managing the Denver Metro Account base, growing brand portfolio in said account base and managing the existing Denver Sales team.

Responsibilities include:

  • ·        Hiring, training, scheduling, time and attendance management.
  • ·        Constant growth and development of team; conduct annual reviews, identify growth opportunities, creating customized training programs, implement said programs, provide continuous feedback.
  • ·        Team unity and support; maintain positive energy and morale.
  • ·        Keeping accountability of team; tracking, data analytics, goal setting, goal review, team strategy.
  • ·        Tool management; ensure that all tools set in place are utilized properly, efficiently and effectively.
  • ·        Communication; Conduct and participate in weekly team calls covering updates, goals and objectives.
  • ·        Brand Management; work closely with brand managers for updates and information pertaining to brands in Denver portfolio; ensure successful execution and results within.
  • ·        Hands on management; ride with team weekly to provide support and coaching where necessary.
  • ·        Self Management; constant review of self, territory, responsibilities and progress. Think and plan ahead, spot needs, assess situation, plan and set ball in motion. Manage expectations and priorities.
  • ·        Territory Sales; Metro Managers are responsible for route sales one day per week, whether that be additional stores or support in team’s stores.
  • ·        Participate in occasional brand partner ride-withs.
  • ·        Route/team coverage; responsibilities affected by team absence are to be covered by metro manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years Team Management experience
3+ years of Sales experience
2+ years grocery retail setting experience
Proficient with computers (Microsoft Word & Excel)
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and be able to drive a car for extended periods of time
Must have a working smart phone as our reporting tool is a smart phone mobile app.
Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to standing, bending, squatting, reaching, repetitive motion and lifting 40-50 pounds. Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores)
