We are looking for our next Senior Account Manager to become part of our sales team.

In this role, you will develop, implement & execute a sales plan supporting CAIF´s strategy to grow and develop business opportunities in existing customers and in those still to conquer, for CAIF´s Botanical Extracts and Flavors division.

What You´ll be doing:

  • Using your commercial skills to anticipate, translate and champion the needs of the customers into ingredient solutions, interacting at all levels of the client.
  • Proactively looking for opportunities within the assigned territory and promoting our capabilities and portfolio at existing and new accounts, aiming new business wins.
  • Working and communicating with CAIF´s internal partners to ensure the delivery of the best solutions for the customers, ensuring proper service in all stages of the selling process.
  • Developing account plans and sales strategy that incorporate the North American sales initiatives.
  • Preparing, presenting and performing sales budgets and forecasts, and controlling expenses in line with budget.
  • Participating in the definition of the product pricing strategy aligned to the market needs.
  • Keeping abreast of competitive activities, prices, and new business opportunities and maintaining extensive business knowledge.
  • Negotiating customer contracts.

What You´ll need?

  • Availability to travel throughout the assigned territory in the USA up to 15-20% (including overnight).
  • Distinguished verbal and written communication skills and solid presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability and understanding to act well in business management.
  • Understanding of Botanical extracts, Fruit & Vegetable powders and Flavors product categories.
  • Interpersonal savviness with the ability to promote synergy and effectiveness within a cross-functional team in a respectful and harmonious way.
  • Demonstrated competency in managing multiple complex activities and projects simultaneously.
  • Confirmed negotiation skills and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage strong relationships to generate sales & profitability.
  • Upselling, cross-selling and work delivery oversight. Consultative selling.

What do we expect from your background?

  • Proven track record of sales success working within a Sales Team.
  • Ten years of sales experience in areas of account management, strategic account development, sales potential identification, and forecasting.
  • An existing sound network and client base in the Food & Beverage, Dietary Supplement, and/or Pharmaceutical markets within the selected geography.
  • Consistent record of managing and penetrating complex accounts and delivering results. Preferably processors/manufacturers within the selected industry.
  • Knowledge in the use of various computer software especially Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Business or related field, with minimum 5-7 years of related sales experience in Natural ingredients and Flavors related industry.
