The Position: National Sales Manager

National Sales Manager


POSITION SUMMARY:
 National Sales Manager is responsible for aggressively and quickly achieving California Pure Naturals sales goals while effectively managing regional sales force and broker groups across the USA. The National Sales Manager will manage key retailer relationships and actively pursue and develop opportunities to increase sales nationwide.  The ideal candidate is well connected, with the ability to open new accounts quickly and generate rapid revenue growth.

Key Success Factor #1: Achieves monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals

• Develop, implementand achievenational sales plans
• Work within budget guidelines to build sales and meet profitability goals
• Track sales performance against objectives and informs management of results

• Develop sales strategies and new-item initiatives for accounts
• Develop account specific promotional plans and programs; track performance, spending and make adjustments as necessary to maximize ROI.

Key Success Factor #2: Builds effective and motivated regionals sales team, national broker network and strong customer relationships

• Direct and oversee regional sales force along with a network of independent sales reps/brokers
• Establish and maintain working relationship with key customers and national retailers 
• Work with broker principals and reps in market nationwide
• Motivateand energize the sales team 

• Representcompany at tradeshows

Key Success Factor #3: Expand Distribution into New Channels

• Identify and pursue new retailers and trade channels to meet the strategic goals set annually
• Develop profitable sales proposals for potential customers
• Assess retail requirements and inform Marketing, Finance and R&D of unique product requirements, certifications to effectively compete 


Key Success Factor #4: Effectively communicates, collaborates and builds relationships with internal team

• Develop, manageand communicatesales forecasts with internal team to inform production
• Preparemonthly, quarterly and annual sales reports showing historical sales volume against budget, and areas of opportunity, risk and expansion

• Coordinate and communicate sales department needs with other departments
• Monitor and communicate changes in competitive landscape

 

Requirements & Skills

·         Bachelor degree with 5-10 years of experience in the field

·         7-10years experience in the beauty industry; natural beauty experience preferred. Must have existing relationships at key accounts.

·         7-10 years broker management experience.

·         Must be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment with limited resources

·         Action oriented with a can-do, positive attitude inspiring others around to adopt a winning attitude

·         Self-motivated, goal driven and willing to start at the ground floor and scale

·         A proven track record of sales achievement in the beauty industry

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Strong analytical and tactical skills; Exceptional organizational skills

·         Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with demonstrated mastery of using PowerPoint to create effective sales presentations as well as Excel for data analysis

·         Up to 50% domestic business travel and works from company’s Southern California office
