The Position: Regional Sales Manager - IL/MN/WI

This position is primarily responsible for growing Life Extension’s wholesale (retail) business in the assigned region through acquisition and growth of wholesale accounts, including vitamin and health food stores, medical practitioners’ offices and other health related organizations where appropriate. The RSM will devise strategies for successful account acquisition and growth as well as manage all existing and secured accounts from both a tactical – i.e. daily operational management – and strategic – i.e. account growth planning – standpoint. The RSM will be able to effectively perform training for these newly acquired accounts, including staff trainings for store personnel on LE products and providing support services to help drive revenues within those accounts. The RSM will be fluent in the product offerings of LE. The RSM will be responsible for securing healthcare practitioner accounts via the LE e-Partner Program.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cull all appropriate wholesale (retail) opportunities in assigned region
  • Secure and grow accounts in assigned region
  • Meet assigned quarterly revenue goals
  • Provide support services for all accounts in region, including demos, trainings and seminars when and where appropriate
  • Attend and/or exhibit at local or regional trade shows as requested by manager
  • Suggest local or regional trade shows for consideration to attend and/or exhibit
  • Meet minimum required number of monthly account visits
  • Attend and participate in biweekly sales conference calls
  • Expand LE brand through all appropriate wholesale channels in assigned region, including vitamin and health food stores, medical practitioners’’ offices and other health related organizations
  • Maintain knowledge of all LE products and their differentiation with other brands on the market
  • Understand the competitive landscape to be able to better position LE brand and products
  • Support accounts by being responsive to their needs and proactively providing them with applicable information
  • Establish appropriate pricing for individual accounts, including (where applicable) opening order discounts and ongoing discounts (EDLC)
  • Ensure feedback from field is passed on to manager for forwarding to appropriate internal staff to review, including Product Development, Marketing, etc.
  • Assist accounts with advertising and promotional efforts
  • Submit annual advertising/marketing/promotional budget for region to manager
  • Manage costs to stay on budget
  • Significant car travel within region – approximately 80%
  • Ability to drive an automobile is an essential function of this position
  • Air travel required as needed for trade shows, trainings, etc.
  • Regular onsite participation in company meetings is an essential function of this position
  • Additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in outside sales within the nutraceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
