The Position: Sr. Graphic Designer
Who we are:
We are Sunfood Superfoods, a food manufacturer and CPG brand based in El Cajon. We search the world for the most nutritious, health-boosting foods and deliver them to those looking to improve their well-being. We believe organic, non-GMO, plant-based food products are the best way to delivering nutrients to the body.
We’re growing quickly and in need of an all-star designer. This role reports to the Marketing Manager, and is a crucial part of a small marketing department. We do just about everything in house – packaging, design, marketing, photography, video production, and more. We need someone who has a broad skill set and a “can do” mentality.
Our brand is well established, our products are sold in major chains nationwide, but this is an invitation to help shape the future of the brand. Put your thumbprint on our DNA… if that makes sense. You have the opportunity to become a major part of our company in an industry that is growing at light speed.
This role will take ownership of all design, print, and photography requirements as well as other ad-hoc needs that pop up. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, our sales team, Operations & Quality Assurance to deliver creative and effective pieces on time that meet and exceed expectations.
Who you are:
  • You are a talented designer with experience in a variety of media (print, web, photography, video) with a desire to influence the growth a leading national brand.
  • You have a history of creating outstanding, engaging, effective designs that align with brand standards. You understand the importance of brand identity, and consistently deliver polished, professional designs.
  • You are motivated and ambitious. You can take a project from conception all the way through the finish line on your own.
  • You are comfortable working directly with department heads (VP of Sales, COO, CEO), and taking direction and feedback from multiple sources. You take criticism and feedback well, but can defend your design choices.
  • You are an effective communicator, asking the right questions, understanding what is needed and using your superb creative judgement to bring ideas to life.
  • You have the desire to create your own projects based on your own determination of what the company needs. You don’t want down-time, you want to be creative and find solutions for problems.
  • You can handle multiple projects at once, keeping track of goals, timelines, and owning responsibility for completion.
  • You want to work somewhere you can grow, learn, and expand your skill set.
  • You have a healthy lifestyle and an interest in better-for-you products.
  • You stay up to date on design trends and technology.
