The Position: Inside Sales Representative- Torrance, CA

The Inside Sales Representative position will report directly to the Sales Manager in our Torrance, CA facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the executing the administrative tasks of the Ingredients Sales staff professionally and in a timely manner, developing and oversee current and prospective Private Label customers and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops solid business relationship with customers
  • Research and pursue potential customers including Private Label
  • Qualifies and follows up with leads as assigned Provides information regarding current pricing, changes in service, discontinuance of items, and shipping
  • Manage all aspects of the Private Label Program including:
  • Updates details of program as directed by Management
  • Coordination of label design with client
  • Interfacing with internal departments both on label design and production fulfillment
  • Coordinating shipping
  • Creating S.O.s and arranging receipt of payment
  • Maintains and sends sales materials to customers upon request
  • Answers phones on behalf of Sales team
  • Serves as a backup when Sales team is out of office
  • Ensures positive internal and external customer experience
  • Recommends potential services to Management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
  • Works internally to ensure inventory levels are sufficient
  • Attend and participates in sales meetings as needed
  • Actively communicates with customer by answering questions, responds to product inquiries, and follows up on requests
  • Identifies and resolves client concerns via phone and/or email
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution
  • Receives and processes sales orders as requested
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Managemen

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year in sales department is preferred
  • Bilingual English/Japanese is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Quickbooks and Salesforce is a plus
