The Position: Grocery Key Account Manager

Overview

Primal Nutrition, LLC is looking for a full-time Grocery Key Account Manager. Primal Kitchen sells a large and expanding line of quality natural food products. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales - Grocery.

As a Grocery Key Account Manager at Primal Kitchen, you will use your stellar sales and planning experience to develop and manage relationships and uncover unique opportunities to deliver volume growth across a number of conventional grocery accounts.  With an owner's mindset, you will work with brokers and directly with retailers to deliver market-leading customer plans and growth strategies, while managing trade dollars within assigned budgets, to execute customer specific trade plans.

  • Pioneer New Sales Paths – You’ll lead efforts to establish and develop new sales relationships at key grocery accounts and reinforce our passion for the brand’s expanding role in consumers’ lives. 
  • Make Strategic Decisions - You'll consider immediate and long-term implications, benefits, costs and risks associated with strategic expansion at a fast-growing company.
  • Lead Sales Efforts - You'll promote a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements and expectations. Influencing the customers’ decision-making process, you will clearly communicate solutions that are mutually beneficial to the retailer and Primal Kitchen. You will own the customer relationship!
  • Ensure Accuracy -  You will play a key role in maintaining integrity, and timeliness of operating budgets and maintaining records and reports necessary to comply with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.

 YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • 5+ years of related industry experience
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans 
  • Experience managing trade dollars within assigned budgets
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and analyze and interpret data
  • Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operation, and negotiation skills
  • Effective written and oral communication, and a track record of Sales success
  • A flexible work schedule
  • Strong Planning and organizing skills

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • A self-starter with experience working for a fast-growing company with wide array of product lines. 
  • Drive and commitment with a high degree of flexibility and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent leadership, customer and internal communication, negotiation, and team building skills
  • Able to work unsupervised and manage independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented

 

Education:

·         BA/BS Degree OR high school diploma/GED plus significant related experience 

·         Exceptional written and verbal communication
