The Position: National Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Classification: Full-Time Exempt 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, plus weekends for tradeshows and sales-related events


Provides leadership and strategic development of sales for all jovial and bionaturae brands and Private Label opportunities to maximize revenue growth and profitability. Direct oversight of the following classes of trade: Club, Food Service, E-Commerce, Private Label, and Export.



·      Supports and collaborates with the VP of Retail Sales

·      Works with the sales team to identify and develop top tier accounts

·      Ensures collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop elective sales programs and brand strategies for all classes of trade

Works closely with the sales team to create elective promotion programs

·      Develops ROI metrics for all classes of trade to use in the analysis of new sales opportunities

·      Supports individual and team skills development within the sales department.

·      Creates an energizing work environment that supports the Company’s culture while ensuring an efficient and flexible organization.


·      Works closely with Company CEO and VP of Sales to develop sales for Club, Food Service, E-Commerce, Private Label, and Export 

·      Leverages trade relationships from contacts base to open new sales opportunities for the Company's brands and private label 

·      Develops strategies to expand business into non-retail classes of trade, leveraging Bionaturae and Jovial brand equity, market penetration, and strengths in supply chain 

·   Create strategic pricing strategies to achieve margin targets and position Bionaturae and Jovial as competitive, value-driven brands in these classes of trade 


·      In conjunction with the Company's management team, develop bottom-up sales forecast for non-retail sales classes of trade 

·      Develop yearly sales plan including projected promotion spend by class of trade, and forecasts expenses for the sales department 

·      Reviews monthly sales, promotion spend, and expenses for the sales department against the budget; adjusts sales plan as needed to achieve budget objectives 

·      Works closely with Purchasing Department to adjust the sales forecast according to market updates; coordinates promotions and new customer on- boarding with updates in sales demand to achieve a balanced level of inventory to support sales growth reports 


·      Develops Trade Show plan in collaboration with CEO and VP of Retail Sales. Assists with coordination of shows for staffing, events and presentations 

·      Directs the development of sales collateral material 

·      Works closely with company CEO on new product development concepts, 
provides market insight on trends by product category and channel to help drive successful new product launches 


·      Analyzes internal and external sales reports to monitor sales activity, trends, and overall trouble shooting; works with IT to develop reports where needed 

·      Oversees all trade and consumer-based market research, effectively using access to trade data from distributor and retailer portals and SPINS to drive development of strategies and tactics to achieve overall strategic goals 

·      Spokesperson for the Company's brands to the trade, supports the CEO and VP of Retail Sales in representing the Company to the media and key events 

·      Develops in collaboration with VP of Retail Sales team and individual objectives for sales support staff; reviews progress toward objectives with sales staff members on a quarterly basis 

·      Promotes and nurtures the company’s mission and values through intercompany and customer communications and community activities 

·      Assists in the development of policies and practices in accordance with 
company mission and company culture of mutual respect and cooperation among all Euro-USA associates 


·      Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills

·      Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel

Extensive knowledge of specialty-natural-organic food distribution system, trends and market dynamics

·      Able to work within a highly entrepreneurial environment

·      Ability to think outside the box to support a proactive approach to harnessing the talent and expertise of all Company employees

·      Capable of developing a strong, dedicated sales team

·      Must be ready and able to travel extensively


·      Minimum 4-year college education & degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus

·      5-8 years of Brand Sales Management in a fast growing organization

·      Proven track record in sales success with extensive list of contacts and relationships that will help drive the Company's growth and development
