The Position: Business Development Manager
Under the direction of a Sales Director, the Business Development Manager role involves administration, market research, data analysis, and facilitating budgetary decision-making. The Business Development Manager will compose company-client correspondence, create presentations, and maintain contact lists. The Business Development Manager will also coordinate cross-channel and department-wide projects to support the overall success and operation of Sales, Education & Events, and Brand Communications teams. We have positions open for South Deerfield MA, and Los Angeles, CA
Essential Functions:
• Work with Sales Director to effectively implement strategy and short/long term goals; • Conduct SWOT analysis of to gain in-depth understanding of opportunities and obstacles for business development; • Compile, track and analyze critical sales data and create reports, graphs and presentations to support findings and recommendations; • Communicate information gained from data analysis to Sales, Education & Events, and Brand Communication teams to develop and implement new promotional initiatives for selected accounts; • Ensure placement for sampling opportunities, in-store merchandisers, & signage and new product launches within selected accounts;
• Develop and implement strategies to acquire new consumers and partners within selected accounts; • Foster positive relationships with sales accounts; • Develop budgets in collaboration with Sales Director;
• Occasional travel to meet with key accounts at trade shows and professional events; and • Coordinate projects among Sales, Education & Events, and Brand Communications teams.

 Minimum Job Requirements Education/Experience: • Bachelors degree in relevant field;
• Experience in a dynamic sales and/or brand communications environment; preferably in skin care, cosmetics or personal care, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 
 Experience communicating professionally in-person and via phone, web, and email to individuals and groups inside and outside of the organization;
• Experience working with complex sales reports, industry data, and performing analysis; • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power Point; and • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and have access to independent transportation. Skills/Competencies:
• Demonstrated high level independent problem solving and risk management skills; • Strong project management skills and attention to detail;
 • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage complex projects through all phases; • Superior relationship building and negotiation skills;
• Ability to build persuasive presentations; • Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
• Superior verbal and written communication skills; 
 • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point. Physical: • Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 20% of the time
