The Position: Director of Sales of National Sales Manager

Jilz Snackerz - Director of Sales/National Sales Manager - Natural Channel


As a key member of the Jilz Snackerz Sales Team, the Director of Sales - Natural Channel, is responsible for driving distribution and sales, building market share, managing regional sales managers, maintaining strong relationships with distributors, brokers, and key customers and securing secondary and off-shelf placement. The Director of Sales will report to the company’s owners and work collaboratively with Conventional Sales Director, Demo & Events Manager, Sales Analyst and Inside Sales Rep.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities:


  • Deliver growth in market share by working with brokers and accounts directly to plan and execute the sales and promotional plans of the organization
  • Achievement of assigned volume and profit goals
  • Present products and conduct category reviews to gain sales and establish accounts by emphasizing quality advantage of Jilz Snackerz products versus the competition
  • Increase market share by conducting product and brand training to key accounts
  • Manage and work with brokers to ensure maximum attention to the Jilz Snackerz lineup
  • Manage budgets, promotional calendar and promotional spending for local marketing and T/E in a cost-effective manner
  • Competent handling of all related administrative duties, including new item paperwork
  • Continual effort to develop and exploit new opportunities that are compatible with divisional goals (ie. off-shelf placement, shipper initiatives, etc.)
  • Utilize technology to capture and present category specific information Other duties as assigned
  • Build out and manage Regional Sales team across the country


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


  • A self-starter with a minimum 5 years Natural Food sales utilizing brokers, distributors and direct key account experience
  • Positive management style with experience hiring and managing a sales team Strong organizational, negotiating, quantitative and leadership skills
  • Track record of entrepreneurial accomplishments, not risk adverse
  • Drive and commitment with a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining customer focused Understanding and demonstrated use of data management systems

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones, and utilize a variety of office equipment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and reach overhead
  • Ability to travel in an automobile or plane.Ability to bend, twist, and stoop

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 50-60%
