JOB TITLE: Business Manager- PC&S

 LOCATION: Burbank CA. (covers Orange County & Los Angeles)

 CLASSIFICATION: Full-time / Exempt

 SALARY: Competitive salary based on experience


We are a Natural Food Brokerage, seeking a full-time Business Manager for the South Cal. Natural Division. The position is in Burbank CA., but does not require to live in Burbank.

We are looking for an experienced Manager to run division business, including brand management, client support, key account support, and distributor support. The position develops business plans for the division and executes these plans to achieve company financial goals.

 Responsibilities include:

 Brand Management

  • Partner with vendors to create promotional programs to offer retailers
  • Meet with vendors regularly to determine sales goals and priorities, report on progress, problem solve challenges
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure vendor goals are met
  • Proactively communicate with vendors regarding line and program status

Retailer Key Account and Distributor Support

  • Ensure that all retailer new item and promotional paperwork is prepared correctly and submitted by deadline
  • Regularly present and gain approval for new items
  • Ensure that all retailer promotional paperwork is prepared correctly and submitted by deadline
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding vendor product and promotions
  • Conduct regular line reviews with distributors
  • Work with distributors to resolve turnover order problems

Territory/Division Management

  • Direct the growth and development plan for the division
  • Research and brings new lines to the division
  • Grow sales in existing lines
  • Responsible for generating commission revenue in division and holding controllable expenses to levels that result in an overall division profit


  • Must be able to travel as needed for business
  • Must be able to travel outside the territory for trade shows at least twice per year
  • Demonstrated ability to create a business plan and successfully execute the plan
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to plan and lead Sales Meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a Sales Team
  • Excellent ability to problem-solve and execute solutions quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Extremely self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • 2 years’ minimum as Sales Manager (or equivalent) managing 2 or more people
  • Demonstrated success in growing sales as Sales Manager or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in managing budget to profit
