The Position: National Sales Manager - Organic Ingredient Sales

We are looking for a dynamic National Sales Manager to help build our Bulk Wholesale Organic Ingredients business. You will be responsible for all of the company’s sales efforts including lead acquisition, account management, and sales training as the company grows. We will provide you with many warm leads directly from the start and also expect you to develop your own. 


We are in the midst of a international expansion and have a unique market position in which our capabilities are far superior to most, if not all of our competitors. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to step in and build the US business of an international company. 


Responsibilities:

  • US territory sales
  • Drive sales efforts into the spot market for smaller higher margin sales
  • Drive the sales efforts to set up long term contracts with large customers
  • Negotiate prices with customers to meet Gross Margin targets
  • Provide the external viewpoint (customers, channel) to internal management through direct and 3rd party research and analysis
  • Increase awareness of the Company and the products through multiple marketing and communication channels
  • Manage existing relationships with current customers
  • Attend industry trade shows to attract new customers
  • Manage all events where the Company has a presence
  • Interface with our International Operations and provide logistical support on all customer orders regarding BOl, customs, 3PL, container shipping, ect.
  • Provide logistical support domestically with 3PL, FTL, LTL, ect.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will be:

  • Educated with an undergraduate degree preferred but not a must if qualifications are exemplary
  • 3+ years work experience in the Natural/Organics industry 
  • 1+ years of Sales Management a plus but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent professional written communication skills
  • A proven track record in sales within the Natural/Organics industry—past experience with bulk wholesale organic ingredients a major plus
  • Positive Attitude is mandatory 
  • Comfort representing the organization with executive-level management at multinational corporations and international/national trade groups
  • Detail-oriented yet able to see and explain the big picture
  • Self-starter and able to drive projects in a quickly evolving environment
  • Comfort with wearing many hats and shifting quickly between various responsibilities
  • Passion for Organic products 
  • Passion for Health and Wellness
  • Comfort with occasional travel to conferences and client sites
  • Resourceful and inspirational attitude when interacting with both internal and external audiences
  • High level of professional integrity
  • Willingness to be flexible, adaptable, and proactive in a constantly changing industry
  • Good sense of humor a major plus
