The Position: Sales Manager

Sales Manager – Job Profile & Description

Sales Manager will be responsible for the tera’swhey® brand day-to-day sales and customer management activities in the Natural grocery channel including small chains, NCGA coops and INFRA independent retailers. Responsibilities include retail sales calls, reviewing purchase orders from customers, reporting sales broker commissions, executing pricing and promotional activities, participating at trade show events and rolling out new products and line extensions. Sales Manager will also support the external sales brokers and internal management in attaining monthly sales targets and responding to customer inquiries and requirements to ensure total customer satisfaction. This person will also be responsible for administrative functions essential for everyday operations of the sales and fulfillment of the tera’swhey® product line offering.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day sales activities with our sales brokers, distributors and key retail customers in the Natural grocery channel including small chains, NCGA coops and INFRA independent retailers
  • Making retail sales appointments and calling on key retail buyers to sell-in line in this channel
  • Developing and executing customer sales communications in this channel
  • Addressing customer inquiries – purchase order inquiries and inventory short falls
  • Releasing monthly sales reporting to external sales brokers
  • Reporting monthly sales commissions internally and externally
  • Securing leads and executing new distribution contacts and contracts
  • Monitoring pricing and merchandising execution at retail
  • Budgeting, communicating and monitoring trade promotional programs
  • Planning and participating at annual trade show events
  • Developing sales presentations, selling brochures & kits
  • Responsible for new product launches and line extension roll out
  • Manage UNFI, Nature’s Best, KEHE distributor requirements and information

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing
  • Experienced level of Excel, Word and PowerPoint usage
  • 5 – 8 Years Relevant training and experience in customer service and in-person sales presentations also a plus for the qualified candidate
