The Position: Territory Sales Representative - ID/MT/AK

Position Summary:

Implements sales strategy for assigned territory to increase sales and profits.  Seeks out opportunities with new/current accounts to establish/maintain a high level customer service, promote new products, fill voids, deliver sales presentations, and provide product knowledge. Must reside near Boise, ID.

Position Responsibility:         

·         Supports and achieves sales strategies, forecasts, budgets and goals for the assigned territory in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager.

·         Generates sales opportunities through referrals, cold calling, email, social media, and networking; expands customer base and develops new leads.

·         Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule; meets with decision makers and forms relationships as trusted advisor.

·         Creates and conducts effective proposals that identify the customers’ business needs and offers solutions to those problems.

·         Services existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule; meets with decision makers, reviews stock, analyzes results, assesses needs, and provides solutions.

·         Develops a sales plan based on each customer’s needs to either cross sell product line, expand product selection and/or introduce new products.

·         Provides extensive customer contact via store visits, phone calls and email.

·         Plans and completes territory travel efficiently for geographically grouped store visits.

·         Educates the store representatives and provides product knowledge by conducting and/or participating in sales promotion and educational meetings.

·         Arranges, coordinates and conducts customer demonstrations at client locations.

·         Attends store meetings and sales functions with a prepared and professional mindset.

·         Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature. 

·         Understands and utilizes electronic sales tools (Gamgee) to effectively administer sales objectives, track results and maintain customer database for assigned sales territory.

·         Reports activities, intermediate results and final results to Regional Sales Manager weekly.

·         Gathers competitive marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. and makes recommendations accordingly.

·         Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management per Standard Operating Procedures.

·         Communicates with retailers and co-workers in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

·         Manages personal expenses in a responsible and timely fashion.

Position Qualifications:

·      2 years territory sales experience required.

·      Nutritional sales or similar consumer goods preferred.

•  Outstanding consultative selling abilities.

·      Strong negotiation and closing skills.

·      Excellent time management and organizational skills.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; articulate speaker and good listener.

·      Strong computer and analytical skills. (knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook).

·      Must be able to travel based on business needs (in the field approximately 90%)

·      Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.
