Job Description  
The Position: Social Media Manager

What You'll Do:

      Own and manage the social strategy and implementation of Primal Kitchen, Mark’s Daily Apple, and Primal Blueprint social media content, channels and promotions calendar.

        Develop creative strategies for growing our overall engagement and social audience.

        Lead the charge for creating both innovative, on-brand creative content and promotional marketing content (such as new product announcements, media mentions, geo-specific store announcements, etc.) on Primal Kitchen social channels.

        Lead the charge for creating innovative, message-appropriate creative content on Mark’s Daily Apple social channels. Ensure that all copy and visuals are aligned with Mark’s unique voice, style, and (Primal Blueprint) principles.

        Write copy, direct image and design creation with in-house team, manage new content creation, manage strategic re-promotion opportunities, and other manage all day-to-day activities of our social media channels.

        Develop relationships with social media influencers and like-minded Facebook groups to drive brand awareness outside of owned social properties and drive high quality content creation for use in paid media and content sharing.

        Identify key brands to partner with on giveaways, follow-back promotions, and other lead gen partnerships. Strategize, plan, and execute all aspects of these social promotions.

        Maintain expert knowledge of social media platform best practices and content trends.

        Track and analyze social media performance across individual posts and campaigns to optimize content accordingly in real time.

        Develop reporting to share insights on a weekly/monthly basis.

        Maintain branded look and feel for each social media platform.

        Ensure brand adheres to regulatory guidelines for ingredients and claims.

        Manage social media coordinator/community manager.

        Work closely alongside private Facebook group moderators to ensure content is on-brand and appropriate, and that the groups are thriving.

Who You Are: 

  •  College degree preferred or a combination of education and/or job related experience.

      Minimum of 5 years in-house or agency experience in social media marketing for B2C brands. Bonus points if you’ve worked for a CPG brand. 

      Strong writer, strategic, analytical, and creative thinker. Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.

        Deep knowledge of social media platforms and how to effectively target the Primal Kitchen, Primal Blueprint, and Mark’s Daily Apple audiences through those and emerging channels.

        Experience creating content for top trending formats like Instagram Stories and Facebook Live.

        Experience working with social media influencers.

       Understanding of marketing best practices.

        Experience using social media publishing and tracking tools (Google Analytics, CoSchedule, Curalate, and other social media tools).

        Familiarity with design tools like PhotoShop are a plus.

        Experience directing a design team to produce engaging graphics, GIFs, animations, and videos.

        Passionate about connecting with audience segments across health, wellness, and fitness.

        Excellent communication skills with a hunger to work with a lean but mighty marketing team—this job is 100% remote.
