Position Summary:
We want a champion of quality control and assurance that can operate across our entire manufacturing process. In parts of our company, we’re vertically integrated from farm to product manufacturing. You will be tasked with ensuring all of our products adhere to the strict quality we are known for and exceed all customer expectations. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage, develop and direct a fast-moving quality staff and initiatives. 

Qualify, inspect and conduct quality onboarding of contract manufacturers and raw materials suppliers and/or processors. 

Develop, implement and monitor the quality programs for compliance to all necessary regulatory codes, including, but not limited to, 21 C.F.R. 101, 110 and 111. 

Develop, implement and monitor the quality programs for adherence to applicable third-party certifiers regarding product quality. 

Develop, implement and monitor allergen program in all facilities. 

Create, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficient, process based operations. 

Be an integral part of seeking out and achieving new certifications (ex. ISO, GAP, cGMP). 

Conduct both internal and external quality audits of facilities, processes, procedures of both internal operations and those of contract manufacturers. 

Collaborate with production, quality and other operational personnel to resolve quality issues in an efficient manner. 

Direct responses to and handling of customer requests and consumer complaints as needed. 

Create, direct and manage product specifications and lab testing reports. 

Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
BS in Science and/or Engineering from a four-year university, Graduate degree preferred. 

Excellent understanding of cGxPs, HAACP and FSMA. 

Excellent understanding of how to respond to customer inquiries 

Minimum of ten years of experience in quality operations. 

Minimum of five years in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food or dietary supplement industries. 

Preference will be given to those with pharmaceutical and dietary supplement backgrounds 

Experience handling quality for both internal and external manufacturing operations 

Experience reviewing labels, websites and marketing materials in conjunction with marketing/legal teams

Experience handling NDI and GRAS processes 

Experience working with FDA attorneys 

Experience with foreign regulatory bodies for overseas markets 

Experience in analytical chemistry 

Experience as a Chemical Safety Officer
 

Agricultural quality experience a plus
