The Position: Sales Manager

We’re growing in the US specialty market, and we need you! As our new key sales representative, you’ll be selling our outstanding, organic and fair trade olive oil and Palestinian specialty food products to our distributors across the country, and supporting those distributors by working with their sales representatives, displaying our products at their trade shows, and presenting our products to chefs, and retail specialty food buyers. Responsibilities:

• Manage our presence at 4-8 national and regional trade shows, and distributor trade shows all over the U.S. 
• Make sales calls on new and existing specialty food distributors across the U.S.
• Assist your customers by calling on retailers, chains of stores, and foodservice users with distributor sales representatives, gaining new product placement for the distributor.
• Initiate and develop relationships with new distributors, retailers, supermarket chains, and foodservice accounts through email, phone, and travel to assigned markets.

• Hire, Lead and manage the performance of brokers at regional levels.
• Lead sales meetings and product training sessions with customers. 
• Work with our General Manager to achieve sales goals.
• Implement and track success of retail promotional programs.

Qualifications:

• Excellent sales experience with a proven track record of achieving results in the specialty food industry. 
• Availability to travel about 50% of the time including overnight travel to various markets across the U.S. 
• Trade show experience: Setting up and managing displays of products.
• Ability to provide our customers with the highest level of customer service. 
• Strong organization skills, must be detail oriented, and self-motivated.
• Passion for opening new accounts, and working with existing customers. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to create and present sales material to customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). 
• Communicate regularly with the Director to review customer, and market requirements as well as progress on existing sales opportunities.
