Our Team:

Based in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, or West/Central Maryland, and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager East as part of the Natural and Specialty Sales Team, the Territory Sales & Education Manager (TSEM) calls on existing retail health food accounts and opens new accounts in the Mid Atlantic Territory. Some overnight travel is required. The TSEM builds sales momentum as well as educates Sales Representatives and Clientele by thoroughly understanding and utilizing the Company’s sales, marketing and educational programs. The TSEM is responsible for achieving set sales goals by utilizing professional sales, merchandising and education skills.

 

What you will be doing:

·         Actively sell into assigned Key Customer Headquarters and Independents selling new items and promotions

·         Key relationship manager assigned for territory located Region Chain and Hybrid corporate accounts

·         Place turnover orders and direct orders as appropriate to account

·         Sell monthly promotions and benefits to accounts

·         Educate staff through aisle training, group meetings and conduct demos to drive product adoption

·         Conduct gap fill audits to maximize product placement at stores; execute ‘free fills’ for WF stores that start selling new SKU’s

·         Creatively sell in and build off shelf and secondary displays

·         Work in conjunction with territory broker reps, effectively managing them within their duties for our brands

·         Identify and act upon leads and drive conversion of leads into revenue

·         Support overall territory sales and organizational development as may be required from time to time

·         Support and maintain an appropriate routing in designated geographic territory

·         Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

What you bring to the team:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Five years outside sales and staff development management experience

·         Associate’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or related field

·         Proven history of attaining and exceeding territory sales quotas

·         Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Skills preferred:

·         Natural food channel experience

·         CRM experience

·         Territory sales experience
